The setting
Minley Manor is the perfect Hampshire and Surrey wedding venue. These tones set the mood for a winter romance styled shoot; a collection of Surrey wedding flowers abound in the statement and vibes of a grade II French Châteaux style manor house.
So, off we set with our blooms to the magnificent wedding venue. We were met with a long, sweeping drive through landscaped gardens, reminiscent of a by-gone era before reaching the historical building.
Surrey wedding flower selection
The florals chosen reflected the mood board and styling; burgundy and masala were the key hues in the colour palette, with an abundance of green and luxe cream accents. This perfectly matched the elegant but grand architecture all around us.
The table was set up outdoors in the chapel cloisters. With all the natural light, Gothic features and stone walls, surrounded by endless rolling countryside, it was the perfect backdrop for a winter romance.
The tablescape featured silk napkins, clear glass candle holders adorned with deep red wine dinner candles, edible elements of seasonal fruit, a lightly textured table cloth, white dinnerware and beautiful gold cutlery, with carefully conceptualised delicate stationary.
The floral centrepiece was held in a French, white, porcelain footed bowl, filled with black baccara and quicksand roses, astrantia, white ranunculi, jasmine and bohemian mocha lisianthus, matching the elegance of the Surrey wedding venue. We had carefully nurtured the flowers so that they were in full bloom for the shoot.

At the base of the table was an arrangement that embraced the essence of nature meeting the grandiosity of the building.
The bridal bouquet was simple, yet contemporary; a loose arrangement with a richness to match the surroundings. Tied loosely around it was hand-crafted habotai silk ribbon, dyed with natural plant dyes.
Styling & photography
Soft, delicate and romantic bridal makeup was used; pink eye shadow with a touch of peach and coral lip tint to compliment the colour theme for the timeless, classic bridal look. Sleek clean lines of the hairstyle were finished with a beautifully shaped lowered bun, depicting the simple elegance.
We absolutely loved planning and creating the floral design for this shoot, and Masha’s photography captured the simplicity of the timeless beauty so perfectly.
